Biotin
The vitimine biotin is essential, but deficiency is not produced by diet, probably because bacteria in the intestine synthesie sufficient amouts for health. Deficiency can be caused by eating too much raw egg white (the avidin binds the biotin so tightly it isn't available to the animal), sterilization of the intestinal tract, or biotin antimatabolites.
